Look Within!

Many times people look outside of themselves for answers that only God can give them.
  • Parents look to their children’s teachers to tell them if their children are succeeding at school.
  • Women sometimes look to men to reassure them of their worth as a woman.
  • Men look to their jobs to mirror to them how accomplished and successful they are.
  • People look to doctors to tell them how healthy and well they are.

We know this kind of seeking and looking to others is an endless battle of frustration and disappointment. Why don’t we instead begin with God? Why don’t we allow ourselves to go within and ask Love what She knows about ourselves and others? What does God know about our children? Our worth? Our success? Our health?

Here are a few thoughts:
  • God sees our children as flourishing, successful, happy, purposeful, buoyant, lively, talented, innocent, pure and one with Him.
  • God sees women as nurturing, loving, strong, caring, resourceful, wise, uniquely beautiful, devoted and one with Her.
  • God sees men as useful, protective, helpful, devoted, steadfast and one with Him.
  • God sees our health as already established as the reflection of Him. Nothing needs to change but our thought about it. God’s view of us is pure and perfect. We are one with Him. His work is done.

Now that feels much better!

As mortals awake from their dream of material sensation, this adorable, all-inclusive God, and all earth’s hieroglyphics of Love, are understood; and infinite Mind is seen kindling the stars, rolling the worlds, reflecting all space and Life, —but not life in matter. (Mis. Writings, p. 331:29)

Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into
newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy. Let us rejoice that we are subject to the divine “powers that be.”
